Matthew Varon – OWNER, OFFENSIVE  LINE COACH

Matthew Varon was built for American football. Standing at 6 foot 6, Varon started his career in semi-professional football in 2006. He played offensive line for the Long Island Seahawks for a couple of years before the team closed and focused on youth play.

When one door closes another opens. Varon joined one of the best semi-pro teams in the nation, the Brooklyn Seminoles. That year they made it to the first five Star championship. This was a great experience because Varon learned from the best and played at a high level. He played all the positions of the offensive line, giving him incredible experience.

He then went to the Brooklyn Bulldogs, and quickly made it to the semifinals. After a couple seasons he joined the Brooklyn Bulldogs until the team folded. Varon went to play for the Punishers and then made it to the semifinals. At this point Varon had played both sides of the ball and had a taste of winning and losing. This formed him and would eventually help him to become a great coach.

After playing for the New York Falcons, he joined the legendary Brooklyn Mariners until 2017. This football team is one of the oldest team in NYC but sadly ended that year. He then went back to the Seminoles in 2018 and finally won a NY championship,
but this wasn’t enough, the Seminoles won a national championship making them the best in the USA in Semi-pro football. Varon was part of the Seminoles championships for the next couple of years including undefeated seasons in 2020 and 2021.

In 2022 Matthew Varon hung up his cleats after a long and successful career in football.

His coaching career started with the Warriors and handled the offensive
line.  Then he also helped with the New York Crusaders with both the offensive line and defensive line.

Varon continued coaching with the Brooklyn Bulldogs until he met the New York Dolphins.  After all his years in semi-pro, Matthew Varon found his true home. After bouncing around many NY teams, the New York Dolphins showed him a stable place where he can make a difference. Varon is a mentor, teacher and inspiration to these young men. Varon believes so much in this program that he has become an owner of the
Dolphins organization to make this the best program in all of New York city.
