Devia has played Football in New York City from Pop Warner to semi pro. As starting quarterback for Flushing high school, Renzo Devia was part of a PSAL undefeated championship season in 1991. He was invited to play for Penn State, West Virginia and Kansas but after a torn ACL his college career ended abruptly. He started coaching in 2011 in Colombia Latin America, bringing 2 championships to the PUMA DC Football Club. He started creating football clinics and supported the Colombian Federation of American Football to better the sport in Colombia. In 2014 he joined the Brooklyn Bengals coaching staff and in 2016 was part of the coaching staff for the New York Crusaders. Renzo Devia helped the Crusaders as a football coach, General Manager and many aspects in administration. In 2017 Renzo Devia created the Colombian National team of American football that competes internationally. He is currently head coach and offensive coordinator of the national team. 

In 2023 he joined the coaching staff of the New York Dolphins coaching
QBs and all aspects of the offense. For 2025, Renzo Devia oversees recruiting NY Dolphins players to help them follow their college career and play internationally.
